The name “Fighting Davids” first appeared on the basketball scene in the 1970's at the Talmudical Academy of Baltimore.

In truth, the Fighting Davids name explains the Fighting Davids raison d’etre. Just as the Biblical David was able to defeat the Giant Goliath who, presumably, could not be defeated, we all face hurdles in life that appear insurmountable. Oftentimes, whether we can overcome these hurdles depends on our attitude and determination.

At the Fighting Davids Institute, we instill a “culture” of attitude and determination, qualities our kids will access for the rest of their lives in their pursuit of excellence and success.
